[남상훈 기자 = 홍천] 지난 6일 신영재 홍천군수는 정부예산 확보 계획 보고회를 개최하고 지난 9일,10일 양일간 행정안전부, 국토교통부, 농림축산식품부, 환경부, 농촌진흥청 등 4부처 1청을 방문해 지역 현안사업 설명과 함께 오는 2024년 국비 지원을 요청했다고 밝혔다. 

주요 현안사업은 행정안전부 소관 풍수해생활권 종합정비사업, 국토교통부 소관 홍천읍 원도심 11지역특화재생사업, 환경부 소관 생활폐기물 소각시설 설치사업, 농림축산식품부 소관 괸돌지구 다목적농촌용수개발사업, 농촌진흥청 소관 청년농 중심 스마트타운 조성 등이다.

군은 신규 발굴한 사업에 대해 기재부로 국비가 최종 신청되는 오는 5월말까지 부처 방문 활동과 설득을 병행하고, 9월 정부예산안이 확정될 때까지 사업유치 타당성 및 논리 개발·보완을 통해 강원도, 중앙부처, 기획재정부에 지속적으로 건의한다는 방침이다. 

신영재 홍천군수는 “홍천군의 신성장 동력이 될 사업들을 지속적으로 발굴함은 물론 강원도, 중앙부처, 국회 방문 등을 이어 나가겠다”며, “앞으로도 지역 현안을 해결하기 위한 재원 확보에 총력을 다해 군민이 행복한 경제으뜸도시 홍천을 만들어 나갈 것”이라고 말했다.
