[장선희 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 동두천시가 경기도에서 실시한 ‘2021년 상수도 업무 성과평가’에서 우수기관으로 선정되었다고 밝혔다.  

이번 평가는 경기도가 지난 4월 도내 31개 시·군 수도사업자를 대상으로 실시한 2021년 상수도 업무성과에 대한 5개 항목에 대한 평가로, 평가항목은 상수도 관리분야, 전문인력 확보, 홍보실적, 개량사업 실적, 도정 정책 및 예산 운영 협조 등이며 동두천시는 전 항목에서 우수한 실적으로 최우수 시·군에 선정되었다.

경기도에서는 추후 우수 시·군의 격려와 상수도의 중요성을 인식시키고자 우수기관과 소속 공무원에 대해 표창할 예정이다.

동두천시 환경사업소장은 “동두천시의 수돗물 생산공급에 책임을 지고 있는 시와 수자원공사 동두천지사 두 기관이 긴밀하게 협조하여 좋은 성과를 이루었다”며 “안전하고 깨끗한 수돗물 공급에 기여하고, 수돗물에 대한 시민 신뢰도도 더욱 높아질 것으로 기대한다”고 말했다.
