[남상훈 기자 = 원주] 원주지방환경청은 관내 공공 하·폐수 처리시설의 효율적인 운영을 지원하고, 수질분석 결과의 신뢰도를 높이기 위해 처리시설 담당자를 대상으로 시험·분석 실무교육을 추진한다고 밝혔다.

본 교육은 공공 하·폐수처리시설 분석 담당자 중 현재 분석업무를 수행한 지 3년 미만의 직원을 대상으로 진행되는 교육이다. 올해는 5월·8월·10월 총 3회에 걸쳐 회차 당 최대 8명을 대상으로, 원주지방환경청 내 시험연구동에서 1박 2일 동안 개최한다. 교육내용은 총질소, 총인, 생물화학적산소요구량, 부유물질, 총대장균군 항목에 대한 이론 및 분석 실습으로 구성된다.

교육 참가를 희망하는 업무담당자들은 관할 지자체를 통해 교육을 신청하면 되며, 세부 운영사항에 대해서는 원주청에서 회차별 운영일정에 맞춰 관할 지자체에 안내할 예정이다.

김정환 원주지방환경청장은 “시설담당자의 시험분석능력 향상을 통한 시설의 효율적인 운영과 물환경 보전에 도움을 주고자 본 교육을 지속적으로 운영할 예정이다”라며, “관내 하·폐수 처리시설 담당자들의 적극적인 관심과 참여를 바란다”고 말했다.
