[남상훈 기자 = 원주] 오는 15일까지 원주지방환경청은 원주 인터불고 호텔에서 ‘2023년 강원‧충북 도‧시‧군 환경 부서장 회의’를 개최한다고 밝혔다.

이번 회의는 원주지방환경청 관계자와 강원도‧충청북도 및 23개 시‧군 환경 부서장이 참석해 주요 환경정책과 지역 환경현안에 대해 논의한다. 원주지방환경청의 2023년 주요 추진과제 발표를 시작으로 지역의 환경 현안과 건의사항 등을 논의하는 순으로 진행된다.

원주지방환경청은 2023년 주요 추진과제로 -지역 기반 미래 환경정책 구현, -건강하고 안전한 지역환경, -기후위기에 강한 통합 물관리, -지역과 소통하는 환경행정 등 4개 과제를 제시할 예정이다.

또한 3월 미세먼지 계절관리제 총력대응, 수소충전소 인프라 구축 확대 등 탄소중립 본격이행을 위한 지자체의 적극적인 협력을 요청할 계획이다. 도‧시‧군에서는 환경업무 추진과정에서 발생하는 현장의 문제점과 시급한 환경 현안 사업에 대해 설명하고, 원주지방환경청과 함께 해결방안을 모색할 예정이다.

김정환 원주지방환경청장은 “지역사회와의 소통과 협력을 통해 지역현안을 해결하고 강원, 충북지역의 환경의 질을 계속 높여가겠다”라고 말했다.
