[남상훈 기자 = 가평] 20일 서태원 가평군수가 군청 소회의실에서 유기동물 입양 플랫폼인 ㈜포인핸드와 유기 동물 입양 활성화를 위한 업무협약을 체결하고 긴밀한 연대 체제를 구축해 유기 동물 인식개선에 이바지하고 지역사회 유기 동물 입양 활성화 방안에 대해 상호 협력하기로 했다고 밝혔다.
이날 협약식에는 서태원 군수를 비롯해 ㈜포인핸드 관계자들이 참석했다. 양측은 협약에 따라 포인핸드는 유기 동물 보호소 VR 투어 및 입양 홍보 콘텐츠 제작, 보호소 관리프로그램 소프트웨어 개발 및 운영, 직영보호소 운영을 위한 자문 및 컨설팅 등을 지원하고 군은 협력사항 이행에 따른 행정자원을 지원한다.
한편, 가평군은 경기도 31개 시·군 중 네 번째이자 군 단위로는 최초로 유기 동물보호센터 공식 인스타그램을 개설․운영해 입양을 주선해 가족을 찾아주는 등 유기 동물 입양문화 활성화에 나서고 있다.
