[남상훈 기자 = 의정부] 지난 27일 김동근 의정부시장이 대한주택건설협회 경기도회와 ‘주거취약계층 지원 및 지역건설산업 발전을 위한 업무협약(MOU)’을 체결했다고 밝혔다.

이번 협약에 따라 양 기관은 -주거취약계층 집수리 지원을 위한 시공, -하자 발생 시 보수 서비스를 제공해 집수리 사업 및 지역건설산업 활성화에 적극 협력하기로 했다.

‘주거취약계층 집수리 지원사업’은 집수리에 소요되는 수리 비용을 가구당 500만 원 이내로 지원하는 사업이다. 집수리 비용을 주택건설협회 회원사인 참여 업체가 전액 부담하며, 연간 지원하는 사업대상의 구체적인 지원 물량은 상호 협의해 정한다.

의정부시는 법적 기준에 맞지 않아 지원받지 못하는 복지사각지대의 대상자를 적극 발굴·선정하는 등 행정적 지원을 담당한다. 이를 위해 지역건설산업 활성화를 위해 주택건설 관련 심의 절차 간소화 및 인허가 기간 단축을 위해 노력할 계획이다. 또한 시와 주택건설협회는 주택의 감리제도와 관련해 제도 개선을 위한 건축법 및 경기도 건축조례 등의 개정 시 합리적인 방안 마련을 위해 협력하기로 했다.
