[남상훈 기자 = 원주] 12일 원주지방환경청이 강원 영월군 영월읍 방절리에 위치한 평창강 일원에서 ‘2023년 수해대비 관계기관 현장합동 모의훈련’을 실시한다고 밝혔다. 

이날 훈련은 풍수해 예방 및 공동대응 협약을 체결한 원주지방국토관리청과 유관기관인 영월군, 영월경찰서, 영월소방서 및 하천공사 현장관계자 등 6개기관 약 40여명이 참여해 홍수로 인한 가상 재난상황을 설정하고 관계기관간 수해대응능력 제고를 위해 마련됐다.

훈련상황은 홍수기 지속적인 집중호우에 따른 평창강 수위상승으로 영월읍 방절리 일원의 배수문 원격제어장치 고장시 수동조작 대응과 제방여유고가 부족한 홍수취약구간의 제방월류에 대비한 대형마대 쌓기 대응 및 지역주민 대피상황 등을 가정해 진행한다.

원주지방환경청은 이번 훈련을 통해 수해발생시 수방자재, 복구장비, 복구인력의 동원체계와 유관기관간 협력체계를 강화해 홍수로 인한 인명피해 최소화와 현장중심의 대응능력을 강화하겠다는 입장이다.

또한, 수해대책기간인 오는 5월 15일부터 10월 15일까지 기상상황에 따른 단계별 비상근무를 실시하고 수해대비 재난대책상황실을 운영할 계획이다.
