[남상훈 기자 = 포천시] 지난 3일 포천시는 ‘2022 순환골재·순환골재 재활용제품 우수활용사례 발표 및 국제세미나’에서 최우수기관 표창 국무총리상을 수상하고 ‘자원재활용을 통한 친환경 하수도건설’이라는 주제로 포천시의 우수활용사례를 발표하는 시간을 가졌다고 밝혔다.

발표회는 환경부와 국토교통부가 공동 주최하고 한국건설자원협회가 주관하며 정부, 지자체, 공공기관, 관련업계 및 학계 관계자 250여 명이 참석했다.

또한 순환골재 및 순환골재 재활용제품에 대한 인식개선과 사용활성화 등을 대한 우수활용사례 공모전 시상식, 우수활용사례 발표, 건설폐기물의 자원화 촉진을 위한 국제세미나 등이 진행됐다.

시는 지난 4년 동안 하수도공사 시 순환골재(54,698㎥) 및 순환아스콘(134,798톤)을 사용해 약 13억 5천만 원의 예산을 절감했다. 경제적 편익과 이산화탄소 저감 등의 환경적편익으로 총 73억 8천만 원의 사회적가치 창출에 기여한 공로로 전국 최우수기관에 선정됐다.

시 관계자는 “향후 하수도분야 사업에서 의무사용 건설공사 범위 이외에 50%까지 순환골재를 사용할 수 있도록 사용계획을 수립하는 등 더욱 노력하겠다.”고 말했다.
