[장선희 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 의정부시보건소는 지난 7월 6일, 폭염에 취약한 건강취약계층을 대상으로 본격적인 폭염 대응에 나섰다고 밝혔다.

의정부시보건소는 8명의 방문건강관리 전담 인력이 가정 방문을 통한 혈압·혈당 등 기초 건강 상태를 측정하고 있다. 

여름철 건강관리와 온열질환 예방을 위한 건강지원 물품을 전달하고 있으며, 폭염특보 발효 시에는 이를 신속하게 전파해 재난 도우미 역할도 수행한다.

장연국 보건소장은 “올해 여름은 평년보다 무더운 날씨를 보일 때가 많을 것이라는 기상청의 기후 전망이 있는 만큼 온열질환에 취약한 대상자들은 폭염 때 낮 시간대 외출을 최대한 자제하고 물, 그늘, 휴식 등 3대 건강 수칙을 준수해야 한다”고 밝혔다.
