[남상훈 기자 = 원주] 30일 북부지방산림청은 몸튼튼! 마음튼튼! 코딱지 숲속 운동회 행사를 강원도 홍천군에 위치한 국립 삼마치유아숲체험원에서 개최했다고 밝혔다.

코딱지 숲속 운동회는 북부지방산림청 홍천국유림관리소가 주최하고 함명옥숲학교 협동조합에서 주관하는 코딱지 숲속 운동회는 우리 미래 주역인 유아들이 산림의 다양한 기능을 체험함으로써 정서를 함양하고 전인적 성장을 할 수 있도록 기여하고자 추진됐다.

홍천 관내 유치원 및 어린이집 15개 교육기관 유아 200여명을 대상으로 <유아중심, 놀이중심>의 교과과정인 누리과정과 연계한 숲튼튼! 몸튼튼! 마음튼튼! 이라는 주제로 숲길 오감체험, 자연물 정원 꾸미기, 솜사탕 만들기, 박터트리기, 줄다리기 등 숲에서의 다양한 체험활동 프로그램을 제공했다.

임하수 북부지방산림청장은 “우리 아이들에게 숲에서 자유롭게 놀며 숲에 대한 호기심을 유발하고, 협동심과 감성을 깨우는 전인적 성장의 기회를 제공하기 위해 앞으로도 최선을 다하겠다”고 말했다.
