[남상훈 기자 = 인제군] 인제군이 정부의 지역화폐 지원 예산 축소에도 불구하고 올해 인제사랑상품권 할인율·발행 규모 현행 유지와 인제채워드림카드 가맹점별 카드 수수료를 군에서 전액 지원한다고 밝혔다. 

인제군은 코로나19로 어려움을 겪고 있는 소상공인을 지원하기 위해 지난 2020년 지류 상품권에 비해 사용이 편리한 카드형인 인제채워드림카드도 도입했다. 여기에 기존 6~8%까지 적용되던 할인율을 10%까지 끌어올리고, 할인율이 적용되는 한도액도 기존 30만원에서 점차 늘려 100만원까지 확대했다.

인제채워드림카드는 지난해 판매액 총350억 원을 올렸으며 지류상품권인 인제사랑상품권과 인제채워드림카드의 지난해 총 판매액은 440억 원을 돌파하며 지역 경제 선순환을 이끄는 대표 화폐로 자리잡았다. 

이에, 정부지원 예산 축소에도 군이 채워드림카드 가맹점 카드수수료 전액을 지원함으로써 총 1,930개소 인제사랑상품권 가맹업체의 실질적인 경영 부담을 줄인다는 계획이다. 

채진석 경제협력과장은 “국비 지원 여부와 관계없이 인제사랑상품권 할인율을 유지하기 위한 인센티브 예산을 확보했다.”며 “지역화폐의 유통 활성화로 소상공인과 지역경제를 살리는 마중물이 되길 바란다.”
