[남상훈 기자 = 가평] 18일 청평면 삼회1리 마을회관에서 수변녹지 공동조성사업 주민설명회가 개최됐다.

이번 주민설명회는 지난해 5월 가평군이 한강유역환경청과의 업무협약을 통해 추진하고 있는 ‘삼회·대성리 수변녹지 공동조성사업’의 일환으로 사업 추진현황 설명 및 주민 의견 수렴을 위해 마련됐다.

삼회1리 이장을 비롯한 약 10여명의 주민들과 가평군 환경정책과, 한강유역환경청, 한국수자원공사 관계자와 이번 사업의 실시설계 용역을 맡은 ㈜동일기술공사 관계자가 참석했다. 사업주관사인 한국수자원공사와 실시설계 용역사인 (주)동일기술공사는 지역 개선 사항 등 사업 추진현황과 조성계획을 주민들에게 설명했다.

이에 주민들은 관광객 유입을 대비한 산책로 거점에 벤치·이동식 화장실 설치와 사업을 통해 밀식돼있는 나무 벌목을 요청했다. 또한 착공 시점을 앞당겨 달라며 사업이 조속히 진행됐으면 좋겠다는 반응을 보이며 관계자들과 농담을 주고받는 등 밝은 분위기 속에서 주민설명회가 진행됐다.

한편, ‘삼회·대성리 수변녹지 공동조성사업’은 기조성된 삼회리·대성리 수변녹지에 편의시설 설치 등 방문객과 주민들의 문화공간을 조성하는 사업으로 2023년 하반기에 착공, 오는 2024년 상반기 내에 준공을 목표로 사업을 추진중이다.

가평군 자연생태팀 김상훈 팀장은 “주민들이 말씀하신 내용들은 관련기관과 협의 후에 최대한 반영하도록 노력하겠다.”고 말했다.
