[남상훈 기자 = 의정부] 지난 26일 김동근 의정부시장이 경민대 아가페홀에서 개최된 ‘의정부 베이비부머 행복캠퍼스 3기 수료식’을 참석했다고 밝혔다.

베이비부머 행복캠퍼스는 경기도에 거주하는 중장년의 인생 재설계 등을 지원하기 위해 경민대에서 위탁운영하고 있다. 지난해 5월 1기를 시작으로 현재까지 3기 교육생을 모집해 300여 명이 참여했다. 중장년층 맞춤형 프로그램으로 시니어플래너, 인지재활놀이상담사, 커피바리스타, 부동산경매재테크, 정리수납전문가 등을 운영해 총 273명이 수료했다.

프로그램은 중장년의 행복한 미래설계와 생애전환 준비를 돕는 재사회화 교육과정으로 운영한다. 이 밖에도 진로상담, 취·창업 연계, 커뮤니티  활동 등 종합적인 서비스를 무료로 지원하고 있다.

행복캠퍼스 센터장을 겸직하고 있는 김환철 산학협력단장은 “한학기 동안 프로그램에 열심히 참여한 수료생들에게 감사드린다”며, “의정부 및 경기북부지역 중장년들에게 제2의 인생을 체계적으로 준비할 수 있는 기반을 마련해 행복한 노후를 준비하는 촉매재 역할을 지속적으로 수행하겠다”고 전했다.

김동근 시장은 “3개월간 성실히 교육과정에 참여해 수료식을 갖게 된 모든 분들께 축하의 말씀을 드린다”며, “행복캠퍼스를 통해 인생 2막을 준비하는 여러분의 열정과 도전을 의정부시가 응원하겠다”고 말했다.
