[김현우 기자 = 양주] 양주시는 2일 농촌진흥청에서 주최한 ‘2022 전국 농업재해대응 경진대회’에서 최우수상을 수상했다고 밝혔다.

이번 경진대회는 매년 농업재해대응 업무추진에 기여한 우수사례를 발굴해 시상함으로써 농촌진흥기관의 사기를 진작하고 신속한 재해 대응 협력체계를 구축하고자 전국 농업기술센터를 대상으로 개최된다.

심사기준은 병해충 진단실, 병해충 예찰포ㆍ관찰포 운영, 농업기상 재해대응, 유관기관과의 협력 네트워크 구축 등 주요성과, 우수사례 등으로 평가된다.

양주시는 지난 11일 서류심사를 통과하며 2022년 식량안정생산   종합평가회에서 발표심사를 거쳐 우수기관으로 선정됐다.

양주시는 ‘특화된 협업 생태계 구축으로 농업재해, 병해충 선제적 골든타임을 확보하다’주제로 조상섭 식량작물 팀장이 추진한 내용을   발표하며 사전·사후 선제적 대응에 대한 높은 점수를 받았다.

발표내용은 농업재해분야에서 겨울철·여름철 농업재해대책 상황실 상시 운영, 농업농촌 미세먼지 저감활동(2개시범마을 6.4ha), 시·농협 집중호우 병해충 공동방제(638ha), 병해충 분야에서는 벼 병해충 예찰포 대제부지 신규 조성(4.810㎡), 농작물 병해충 방제 자체사업(7개소 240백만원), 농림ㆍ생활지 등 돌발해충 협업방제(478.4ha), 농작물 병해충 진단실 운영(937건), 농업기상재해 및 병해충 적극적인 다매체 홍보(224건) 등이다.

특히 농촌진흥청, 경기도농업기술원과의 집중 컨설팅과 지역농협, 관계기관과 긴밀한 유대로 선제적 방제 컨트롤 타워 구축에 따른 포괄적 방제시스템 운영 실적도 높게 평가 받았다.

강수현 시장은 “이번 경진대회에서 수상은 지역농협, 시관계부서,   읍면동 및 농업인간 현장 밀착형 대응을 신속하게 처리한 결과”라며 “향후 농업재해, 돌발 병해충 등 현장기술종합지원단을 통한 선제적 방어 시스템을 지속적으로 구축할 수 있도록 지원을 아끼지 않겠다”고 말했다.
