[장선희 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 양주시는 26일, 민선 8기 공약사업의 원활한 추진과 국·도비 예산 확보를 위해 ‘2022년 제1회 당정협의회’를 개최했다고 밝혔다.

강 시장 취임 이후 처음 개최된 당정협의회에는 지역 현안을 공유하고 당정 간 정책협력을 강화하기 위한 의견을 폭넓게 나누는 시간을 가졌다.

시는 민선8기 공약사업 추진 진행사항 보고를 시작으로 대통령 5대 공약 추진계획, 2022년도 주요 국도비 확보 건의 사업(15건), 기타 현안사업 추진 현황(6건) 등에 대해 상세히 설명하며 주요 현안이 속도감 있게 추진될 수 있도록 당 차원의 각별한 관심과 지원을 요청했다.

특히 국·도비 등 예산이 수반되는 사업에 대해서는 당면 사안의 시급성과 필요성을 강조하며 경기도와 중앙부처의 중점 현안으로 반영돼 적기 지원을 받을 수 있도록 지역 정치권 차원의 적극적인 협조를 건의했다.

강수현 양주시장은 “시민과 함께 도약하는 양주시를 만들기 위해 앞으로 당정협의회를 통해 정책방향을 공유하며 희망찬 양주 발전을 도모하겠다”며 “당면한 지역 현안이 순조롭게 해결될 수 있도록 도·시의원님들의 아낌없은 지원을 부탁드린다”고 말했다.
