[김일중 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 포천시농업기술센터가 농촌진흥청이 주관하는 ‘2021년 우수 지방농촌지도기관 평가’에서 우수농업기술센터 분야 우수상과 신규농업인 교육 분야 우수상, 농업기술보급혁신 우수사례 경진대회 최우수상의 쾌거를 달성했다고 밝혔다.

전국 지방농촌지도기관을 대상으로 진행한 이번 평가에서 포천시는 우수농업기술센터 분야에서 조직·예산 관리, 디지털농업 확산, 과학영농시설 운영, 재해대응, 청년농업인 육성 실적 등 농업기술센터 운영 전반에 걸친 9개 지표 평가에서 우수함을 인정받았고, 또한 신규농업인 교육 분야에서 시범사업추진, 과정운영, 현장실습관리시스템 활용, 유관기관 협력, 교육생 우수사례 및 성과확산 등 신규농업인 및 귀농귀촌인의 성공적인 정착에 기여한 점을 높이 평가받았다고 했다. 

농업기술보급혁신 우수사례 경진대회에서는 디지털농업기술지원 분야에 참여해 최근 3년간 스마트농업 테스트베드 교육장 구축·운영, 데이터 활용 농업인 교육 및 컨설팅 등에 우수한 평가를 받으며 최우수상의 기쁨을 안았다고 했다.

농업기술센터 관계자는 “앞으로 친환경농업 확산, 청년농업인 육성 및 신기술 확대 보급에 중점을 두어 첨단 미래 농업을 육성하고 농업의 세계적 변화에 발빠르게 대응할 예정”라며 “농업기술 및 컨설팅 역량 강화에 힘써 농업인에게 신뢰받는 농촌지도기관이 되겠다.”라고 밝혔다.
