[남상훈 기자 = 횡성] 오는 7월 1일 횡성군이 횡성 군립도서관에서 김명기 횡성군수, 군의원, 지역 청년위원 등이 참석하는 ‘청년 아카데미’를 개강한다고 밝혔다.

이번 아카데미는 저출산 및 인구 고령화에 대응하기 위해 지역 청년을 양성하고, 연대와 협력으로 지속 가능한 지역 발전의 중추적인 역할을 수행할 청년의 경쟁력을 강화하기 위해 마련됐다. 이를 위해 지난 12일부터 2주간 공모를 통해 청년아카데미 수강생 25명을 모집했다.

내달 1일 개강을 시작으로 9월 23일까지 총 7회로 진행되며, 횡성군 거주 청년을 대상으로 -온라인창업, -경제, -노무, -스피치, -비즈니스 스포츠 등 다양한 특강을 운영한다.

김명기 횡성군수는 “청년이 살기 좋은 횡성을 만들기 위해 앞으로도 다양한 청년 정책을 발굴‧추진해 나갈 계획으로 지역 청년들이 이에 많은 관심을 가지길 바라며, 또한 이번 아카데미를 통해 청년 간 네트워크 활성화로 지역 발전의 마중물 역할을 하길 기대한다.”라고 말했다.
