[남상훈 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 18일 오후 3시 횡성군은 군청 대회의실에서 지역거점 스마트시티 조성사업 주민설명회 및 업무협약식을 개최했다고 밝혔다.

'횡성군 지역거점 스마트시티 조성사업'은 지난해 12월 국토교통부 공모사업으로 선정되어 둔내면 일원에서 추진되는 사업으로 총 사업비는 192억 7천만원이며 사업기간은 오는 2024년 12월까지이다.

이번 설명회에는 지역 기관·단체장 및 횡성군민, 그리고 횡성군청 소속 부서장들이 참석했다.

주민설명회는 컨소시엄 대표 업체인 이모빌리티 연구조합의 사업내용 설명과 질의응답으로 진행되며 스마트시티 조성사업 계획 및 진행상황에 대해 주민 이해도를 높이고, 사업의 투명성과 추진동력을 확보하기 위해 개최된다.

주민설명회가 종료 후 지난 9월 공고를 통해 선정된 13개 민간 컨소시엄 참여기관과 횡성군이 업무 협약식을 맺었다.

주요 내용은 맞춤형 워케이션 센터 신축 및 숙박업소 연계 테마형 워케이션 스팟 조성, 이모빌리티와 연계된 미래형 모빌리티 서비스 구축, 주민 안전 및 편의시설 확대 등이다. 

김명기 군수는 “이번 행사로 대내외에 본격적인 사업 시작을 알리고, 사업을 성공적으로 이끌어 향후에는 횡성군 전역으로 서비스를 확대할 계획이다. 횡성군을 미래 모빌리티 특화도시로 건설하는데 앞장서겠다.”고 말했다.
