올해로 4년 차를 맞이한 이번 사업에서는 ▲외국인 주민 정착지원(2억 원) ▲고려인 동포 정착지원(1억 8,800만 원) ▲고려인 동포 인식개선(6천만 원) 3개 분야를 지원할 예정이다.

특히 정착역량 강화를 위해 다양한 교육, 의료·법률·노무·심리 상담 등 권익증진사업과 문화체육행사, 공동체 운영지원, 지역사회 공헌활동 등을 지원해 내외국인 상호 화합은 물론 안정적인 정착지원을 추진한다는 방침이다. 

모집 기간은 오는 19일까지며 공고일(1월 5일) 기준 도내 등록된 관련 비영리민간단체는 지원 가능하다. 

선정된 단체에는 1개 사업당 ‘외국인 주민 정착지원’의 경우 1천만~2천만 원, ‘고려인 동포 정착지원’ 2천만~4천만 원, ‘고려인 동포 인식개선’은 3천만 원 이상의 규모로 사업비가 지원되며 별도의 자부담은 없다.

사업 대상자는 두 차례 평가를 통해 3월 중 최종 선정되며, 사업기간은 4월부터 12월까지다. 

경기도는 이번 사업을 추진하며, 지속적인 외국인 주민에 대한 정착지원과 민간협력 사업을 통해 도내 내·외국인 간 상호 이해증진과 지역사회의 안정적인 정착 기반 마련에 큰 도움이 될 것으로 기대하고 있다.
