[김현우 기자 = 가평] 가평군은 행정안전부가 주관하는 2022년 자연재해 안전도 평가에서 전국 228개 지자체 대상 상위 15%에 해당하는 A등급에 선정됐다고 3일 밝혔다.

자연재해 안전도 진단은 매년 자연재해 위험요인과 방재대책, 시설정비 추진실적 등의 53개 진단 항목에 대한 검증을 거쳐 A등급(15%), B등급(20%), C등급(30%), D등급(20%), E등급(15%)으로 산정하는 제도이다.

최고 등급에 선정된 가평군은 향후 특별재난지역 선포 시, 국고로 2%의 피해복구비를 추가로 지원 받을 수 있게 됐다.

서태원 군수는 “이번 진단 결과에 안주하지 않고, 집중호우와 태풍 등 자연재해에 대한 대비를 지속적으로 추진해 군민의 생명과 재산피해를 최소화하여 안전도시 가평을 만들어가겠다”고 말했다.
