[남상훈 기자 = 홍천군] 지난 11월 21일부터 홍천군은 직접 방문으로만 가능했던 민원 불편 해소를 위해 ‘온라인 조상땅 찾기’ 서비스를 시행하고 있다고 밝혔다. 

조상땅 찾기 서비스란 갑작스러운 사망으로 후손들이 조상의 토지 소유 현황을 알지 못하는 경우 상속인에게 토지 소재를 알려줌으로써 국민의 재산권 행사에 도움을 주는 제도이다.  

기존에는 사망한 가족과 상속관계를 증명할 수 있는 서류를 구비해 지자체에 방문해야 했지만, 앞으로는 간편하게 인터넷 정부24, 국가공간정보포털, K-GEO 플랫폼에서 공동인증서를 통한 본인인증 후 신청할 수 있다. 

필요증빙서류는 대법원 전자가족관계등록시스템에서 사망자의 기본증명서와 가족관계증명서를 내려 받아 전자파일(PDF)로 첨부하면 된다. 서류심사 후 승인 3일 이내에 조회 결과를 열람하거나 출력할 수 있다. 

다만, 인터넷 조회 대상은 호주제 폐지 시행일인 2008년 1월 1일 이후 사망한 부모, 배우자, 자녀인 경우에 해당되며, 조회대상자의 주민등록번호를 모르거나 2008년 이전에 사망한 경우는 제적등본을 지참하여 기존 방식대로 군청에 직접 방문해 신청해야 한다. 

군 관계자는 “온라인으로 간편하게 서비스를 시행할 수 있게 되어 직접 방문으로 인한 불편함이 해소되길 기대한다”며, “앞으로도 지속적인 홍보와 서비스 강화로 민원 편의성 증진과 재산권 보호에 기여하겠다”고 말했다.
