[안종욱 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 가평군 자라섬 남도 봄 꽃정원는 지난 5월 28일부터 개장해 상춘객들의 발길이 끊이지 않고 있다고 밝혔다.
군에 따르면, 정식 개장을 시작한 지난 주말이후 약 5천8백여 명의 관람객이 방문했다고 전했다.
6만5천 송이의 메리골드가 구현한 한반도 정원, 보라색 유채로도 불리는 딤스로켓, 강렬한 색상의 꽃양귀비와 대비되는 하얀 안개꽃 등이 방문객들의 눈길을 사로잡는다.
오는 6월 4일에는 꽃정원 개장을 축하하는 기념행사도 진행된다.
이번 행사는 오전 9시 30분 식전행사를 시작으로 10시 개식 이후 11시까지 축하공연이 준비되어 있고, 식전행사에는 버스킹팀의 공연과 식후행사에는 팝페라 가수(이리현), 트로트 가수(신나라, 이가연) 공연이 진행될 예정이라고 전했다.
