[남상훈 기자 = 홍천군] 홍천군이 행정안전부 주관 ‘2022년 주민참여예산제 우수 지자체 평가’에서 종합상 부문 '우수' 기관으로 선정됐으며 이에 우수기관표창 및 특별교부세 7,000만원을 받게 됐다고 밝혔다.

주민참여예산제 우수단체는 행정안전부에서 전국 243개 전 자치단체를 대상으로 제도 운영 결과를 심사했다. 홍천군은 종합상 부문 우수단체로 선정됐으며 종합상은 주민참여예산기구 구성·운영, 주민의 참여범위 및 권한, 주민참여 활동 지원, 발전 가능성, 우수시책 사례발굴을 심사지표로 평가됐다. 

홍천군은 올해 일반주민 대상 찾아가는 예산학교 실시, 참여예산기구 역량강화 교육, 예산 집행 및 평가 모니터링 추진으로 예산 전 과정으로 참여범위 확대 등 제도 활성화와 예산과정에서의 주민참여 보장을 위하여 지속적으로 노력해왔다. 

신영재 홍천군수는 “지방재정의 민주성·책임성·투명성 강화와 재정민주주의 실현을 위해 앞으로도 예산과정에서 주민이 참여할 수 있는 방안을 발굴하고 주민 주도적 ‘홍천형 주민참여예산제’를 실현할 수 있도록 최선을 다하겠다.”고 말했다.
