[남상훈 기자 = 경기북부] 지난 7일부터 오는 20일까지 동두천시는 ‘경기지역화폐(동두천사랑카드)’의 부정유통 방지를 위해 ‘2023년 하반기 경기지역화폐 부정유통 일제단속’을 추진한다고 밝혔다.

동두천시는 일제단속 기간 동안 가맹점 데이터 분석자료 등을 통해 이상거래가 감지된 현장을 담당 공무원으로 구성된 점검반을 편성해 단속하는 등 부정유통 행위를 단속할 예정이다. 해당 단속을 통해 적발되는 가맹점에 대해서는 ‘현장계도, 과태료 부과, 가맹점 등록취소’ 등 법령에 따라 행정처분을 내릴 방침이다. 

중점 단속대상은 ‘실제 매출금액 이상의 거래를 통하여 상품권을 수취·환전하는 행위’, ‘경기지역화폐(동두천사랑카드)의 결제를 거부하거나 추가금을 요구하는 행위’, ‘물품의 판매 또는 용역의 제공 없이 상품권을 수취·환전하는 행위’, ‘유흥업소, 사행산업 등의 등록제한 업종을 영위하는 행위’ 등이다. 

시 관계자는 “지역사랑상품권 발행 확대에 따른 부정유통 우려를 해소하고 건전한 지역화폐 유통질서 확립을 통한 신뢰성 확보를 위해 지속적으로 부정유통을 단속할 예정”이라며 “가맹점주와 시민 여러분들의 적극적인 협조를 부탁드린다”고 전했다.
