[장선희 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 새마을지도자양주시협의회는 지난 17일 제74주년 제헌절을 기념하여 나라사랑 고양사업으로 관리하고 있는 새마을기 게양대 한 쪽면에 일제히 태극기를 게양했다고 밝혔다.

이종용 회장은 “우리 양주시새마을은 최근 생명, 평화, 공동체 운동을 중점적으로 추진하고 있는데 태극기 달기 사업은 공동체 운동 사업으로 새마을지도자들은 물론 양주시민과 모든 국민들에게 나라사랑 하는 마음을 일깨워주는 사업이므로 새마을지도자들이 앞장서 나아가겠다”고 소감을 말했다.  

한편, 양주시새마을회는 다가오는 광복절, 개천절, 한글날까지 앞으로 3개월간 태극기 달기 운동을 적극 전개 해 나갈 계획이라고 밝혔다.
