[남상훈 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 고성군은 해수욕장 운영종료 및 우리 민족의 최대 명절인 추석연휴를 맞이하여 마을 및 기관·단체·행정·군부대별 담당구역을 지정하여 국토대청결운동을 추진한다고 밝혔다.

특히 추석연휴기간 중 고향을 찾는 귀성객들에게 깨끗하고 쾌적한 환경 속에서 훈훈한 인정이 넘치는 지역의 발전 모습을 보여주기 위해 대대적인 환경정비에 나선다.

이번 국토대청결 운동은 지역주민·군장병·기관·단체 및 공무원 등 1,000여명이 참여해 지난 8월29일부터 오는 9월2일까지 전개되며 마지막날 14시부터 17시 일제 수거하며 해수욕장 운영종료에 따라 해수욕장, 시가지, 주택주변, 골목길, 공한지 등 생활주변과 버스터미널 및 공원 등 공공장소, 기타 마을 하천, 농경지, 도로변 등을 중점으로 청소를  실시하게 된다.

임덕빈 환경보호과장은 "추석 연휴기간 동안 다중집합장소 및 공공시설에서 쓰레기 무단투기 지도단속 및 예방를 위해 읍면별로 지도단속반을 편성, 귀향객 쓰레기 안버리기 홍보 및 취약지역·무단투기 예방활동을 전개하기로 했다."고 말했다.
