[장선희 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 포천시는 도로명주소 위치찾기 이용 편의를 위해 금강로 등 55개 도로구간에 보행자용 도로명판 145개를 확대 설치했다고 밝혔다.

시는 보행자 중심의 명확한 주소정보 제공을 위해 보행자용 도로명판 설치를 확대하고 있다.

그동안 도로명판은 주요 도로변에 차량 중심으로 위치해 있어 보행자가 상대적으로 길을 찾는 데에 어려움이 있었다. 

보행자용 도로명판은 이면도로, 교차로, 골목길 등에 보행자 눈높이에 맞춰 기존 시설보다 낮게 설치해 보행자들이 쉽게 길을 찾을 수 있도록 돕는다.

시 관계자는 “시민들이 편리하게 길을 찾을 수 있도록 도로명판 추가 설치를 지속 추진하겠다. 응급상황 발생 시 신속 대응할 수 있도록 시설물 유지관리에도 최선을 다하겠다.”고 말했다.
