[장선희 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 오는 5월 1일, 동두천시는 하수도 원인자부담금 단가를 조정한다고 공고했다고 밝혔다. 

하수도 원인자부담금은 건축물 등을 신·증축하거나 용도 변경해 오수가 하루에 10톤 이상 증가되는 경우 해당 건축물 등의 소유자에게 공공하수도 개축비용을 부담하게 하는 제도라고 했다.

기존 하수도 원인자부담금은 지난 2021년 7월부터 톤당 단가 2,140,230원을 유지해왔으며, 오는 2022년 5월 1일 준공분부터는 167,850원이 인상된 2,308,080원으로 단가가 조정된다고 했다.

동두천시 관계자는 “하수관거 정비사업 및 공공하수처리시설 신·증설 등 그간 투입된 하수도 사업비 총액과 생산자 물가 상승률을 반영해 부담금 단가를 조정한 사항이다”라며 “개별건축물 및 타 행위에 의해 부담한 하수도 원인자부담금은 100% 하수도의 신·증설 및 개보수 비용으로 사용된다”라고 밝혔다.
