[김현우 기자 = 가평] 가평군은 경기도가 주최한 ‘2023년(2022년실적) 지방세 체납정리 시·군 종합평가’에서 최우수 기관으로 선정돼 기관표창과 함께 시상금 3천만 원을 받는다고 밝혔다.

이번 평가는 지방세 체납 정리업무 전반에 대한 종합평가로 경기도 내 31개 시·군을 대상으로 지난 1년간 체납징수실적, 체납처분, 기관장 관심도 등 3개 분야 24개 지표에서 실시됐으며, 가평군은 지표 모든 항목에서 우수한 점수를 받아 최우수 수상의 영예를 안았다.

이번 최우수기관 선정은 전년도 우수 기관 선정에 안주하지 않고 목표달성을 위해 더 큰 노력을 기울인 결과이기에 큰 의미가 있다.

특히 가평군은 공매, 가택수색 등 강도 높은 징수활동을 지속적으로 추진한 결과 전년도 이월체납액 7,703백만원 중 70.6%에 달하는 5,438백만원을 정리하는 성과를 이뤄내 체납정리 부문에서 경기도 31개 시·군 중 1위를 한 것으로 알려졌다.

박재근 세정과장은 “이번 평가에 최우수기관으로 선정된 것에 만족하지 않고 고액고질 상습 체납자에 대한 강력한 체납 징수활동에 더욱 박차를 가하여 열악한 가평군 재정에 이바지하고자 최선을 다하겠다”고 말했다.
