[장선희 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 의정부시가 지난 5월 9일, 행정안전부 주관 공공데이터 기업매칭 지원사업 공모에 선정되어 국비 최대 3억 원을 확보했다고 밝혔다.

공공데이터 기업매칭 지원사업은 공공데이터 수요기관과 IT기업을 매칭하고 행정안전부 공공데이터 청년 인턴십 사업과 연계해 공공데이터 개방을 추진하는 사업이라고 했다. 

사업에 필요한 예산은 전액 국비로 지원하며, 의정부시는 과거 2020년과 2021년에 장애인 주차구역 개방데이터 구축 등 총 3개 과제에 선정되어 약 11억 원의 국비를 지원받아 공공데이터 개방을 통한 데이터경제 활성화에 노력하고 있다고 전했다.

이번에 선정된 사업은 위드-코로나19 시대 시민건강증진을 위한 도시공원 시설물 및 과속방지턱 개방DB 구축사업으로 시는 지난 3월 행안부에 사업 계획서를 제출, 공모에 선정됐으며 업체와 협약을 통해 연내에 완료할 계획이라고 했다. 

또한, 구축된 데이터는 2023년 1월 말 공공데이터포털을 통해 누구나 활용할 수 있도록 개방할 예정이라고 전했다.

안병용 의정부시장은 “2020년, 2021년에 이어 3년 연속 행안부 공모에 선정됐다”며 “도시공원 시설물 및 과속방지턱 자료를 구축해 보행안전 환경개선 및 안전한 공원이용을 위해 활용할 예정이며, 빅데이터 분석을 통해 생활권역별 정주환경 평가 등에 활용할 수 있을 것이며, 앞으로도 다양한 분야에서 공공데이터를 이용할 수 있도록 공공데이터 발굴 및 개방에 더욱 힘쓰겠다”고 밝혔다.
