기자: 19일 오후 가평군 상면 소재 엘리의 정원에서 ‘경기도 제1호 민간정원 현판식’이 개최됐습니다.

 

엘리의 정원은 지난 2023년 1월 경기도 최초로 민간정원에 등록됐으며, 어머니인 정경희 씨와 두 아들인 이대병 씨, 이병욱 씨가 공동대표로 운영하는 곳입니다.

 

이번 행사는 한국수목원정원관리원에서 주관했으며, 현판식을 축하하기 위해 가평군의회, 가평군, 산림청, 경기도, 한국민간정원협회 관계자들 등 25명이 참석했습니다.

 

이날 현판식에서 최정용 가평군의장을 비롯한 각 기관은 경기도 최초 민간정원이 탄생한 것에 대해 축하하는 뜻을 전하며, 이번 일을 계기로 민간정원이 계속 나올 수 있도록 희망하고 노력한다고 말했습니다.

 

최정용 가평군의장: 오늘 경기도 1호 민간정원 우리 가평군에서 1호 정원이 탄생했다는 걸 진심으로 축하를 드립니다.
