[남상훈 기자 = 동두천] 지난 23일 박형덕 동두천시장이 시청 본관 2층 상황실에서 민관군 관련 기관 및 단체장 등 30명의 위원이 참석한 가운데 2023년 2분기 통합방위협의회 정기회의를 개최했다고 밝혔다.

박 시장은 동두천시 통합방위협의회 의장으로 이날 회의를 주관했으며 신규위원 위촉장 수여를 시작으로 안보 영상 시청, 주요 현안 및 시정안내, 자율토론 순으로 진행됐다. 특히, 8월에 예정된 을지훈련 일정을 안내하며 국지도발 대응체계에 따른 위기관리 연습, 통합방위협의회 소집 훈련과 전시상황 발생 시 전시전환 절차 등 위기 단계별 훈련의 중요성을 강조했다.

박형덕 시장은 “이번 회의를 통해 동두천시 통합방위 태세를 더욱 공고히 해 나갈 수 있도록 각 기관의 적극적인 협조를 당부드리며 시정에도 지속적인 관심을 부탁드린다”고 말했다.
