기존의 민방위 교육은 연차별로 1~2년 차는 4시간 집합교육, 3~4년 차는 2시간 사이버교육, 5년 차 이상부터는 1시간 사이버교육을 받도록 되어 있었으나 올해는 집합교육 시 발생할 수 있는 코로나19 감염병 확산을 방지하기 위해 모든 민방위 대원을 대상으로 1시간의 민방위 사이버교육을 실시한다고 전했다.
