이번 지원사업은 김동연 경기도지사가 취임 1호로 결재한 ‘비상경제 대응 민생안정 종합계획’에서 1단계 긴급대책으로 제시된 지원사업 중 하나로 관내 농업인의 경영부담을 경감시키기 위한 조치다.

지원 대상은 농업경영체 등록 농지에서 농산물을 생산하는 농업인이며 농협경제지주와 비료생산 업체 간 계약을 통해 농업경영체에 공급(판매)하는 무기질비료에 대해 지원한다.

대상 농업인은 지난 1월 3일부터 올해 12월 10일까지 구매하는 무기질비료에 대해 지원받을 수 있으며 지역농협에서 비료 구매 시 최근 3개년 무기질비료 구매량의 95% 이내로 구입이 가능하고, 또한 최근 3년간 지역농협에서 비료 구매내역이 없는 농업인과 신규 농업인도 ‘농업경영체 등록 확인서’를 지역농협에 제출하면 지역농협에서 무기질비료 필요물량을 산정해 할인된 가격으로 구매할 수 있다.

정부는 농협 부담액, 국비·지방비 등 지난해 8월 대비 올해 평균 가격상승분의 80%를 지원하며 나머지 20%는 시에서 2022년 1회 추경예산 편성으로 확보한 예산 11억 7천200만 원을 더해 총 2천 22톤의 무기질비료를 지원할 예정이다.
