[남상훈 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 25일 화천군은 화천읍 청소년수련관에서 오는 2023년도 예산편성 관련 주민 공청회를 개최했다고 밝혔다.  

화천군은 25일 화천읍을 시작으로 오는 31일 사내면, 11월2일 상서면과 간동면, 11월3일 하남면에서 예산편성을 위한 주민 설명회를 이어갈 예정이다. 

민선 6기 출범 이후 매년 하반기 열리고 있는 주민 예산 설명회는 높은 참여도를 보이는 군민들의 대표적 재정운용 참여 통로로 군민 100여 명이 참여한 이날 공청회를 통해 지역발전과 삶의 질 향상을 위해 필요하다고 생각하는 분야의 예산 반영을 군에 적극적으로 요청했다.  

군민들의 질의를 받은 최문순 군수와 각 실‧과‧소장, 담당부서 공무원들은 실현 가능성을 따져 즉석에서 답변하는 동시에 추가 검토가 필요한 사안은 추후 결과를 알려주기로 했다.

화천군은 설명회 결과를 적극 반영해 내달 본 예산안을 편성한 후 화천군의회 심의와 승인을 거쳐 예산을 확정하며 실제 지난해 하반기 열린 2022년도 예산편성을 위한 주민설명회에서 제시된 군민의견 131건 중 83건이 추진 또는 완료됐다. 

또한, 주민 설명회를 통해 화천군의 내년도 주요 사업을 군민들에게 미리 설명하고, 관심과 참여를 당부하기도 했다. 

이날 최수명 군기획감사실장은 군민들에게 아이 기르기 가장 좋은 화천 만들기, 모두가 행복한 맞춤형 복지 실현, 미래지향적 농업‧임업‧축산업 지원강화, 지역경제 활성화를 위한 안정적 경제기반 확립, 활기찬 미래 화천을 위한 변화의 원동력 마련 등 군정 5대 핵심전략과 세부사업을 소개했다. 

이와 더불어 강원특별자치도 출범, 코로나19 일상회복, 국방개혁, 동서고속화철도, 안보관광과 파크골프 산업육성, SOC 사업 등 새로운 변화와 이슈에 대응하는 화천군의 다양한 전략사업들이 주민들에게 소개됐다.
