[장선희 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 포천시는 지난 18일부터 오는 8월 19일까지 ‘2022 포천시민대상’ 후보자 추천 접수 기간을 운영한다고 밝혔다.

포천시민대상은 포천시에서 가장 권위 있는 상으로 지역사회 발전을 위해 헌신 봉사한 유공자에게 수여된다. 

자격요건은 포천에서 3년 이상 거주한 사람이거나 등록기준지가 포천시인 사람, 또는 관내에 직장을 가지고 3년 이상 지역사회 발전을 위해 헌신한 뚜렷한 공적이 있는 사람을 대상으로 한다.

추천권자는 시 담당관·과장, 사업소장, 읍면동장, 관내 유관기관장, 사회단체장, 각급 학교장 및 10명 이상의 일반시민으로, 읍면동 총무팀과 자치행정과 방문을 통해 접수하면 된다.

2022 포천시민대상은 ▶문화예술 ▶체육 ▶교육학술 ▶지역개발 ▶농업 ▶사회봉사 ▶산업경제 등, 총 7개 부문 8명을 선정해 오는 10월 포천시민의 날 기념식에서 시상한다.

시 관계자는 “포천시의 위상을 높이고 지역발전에 헌신 공헌한 시민들이 많이 추천돼 포천시민의 귀감이 되길 바란다.”고 말했다.

한편, 포천시민대상은 지난 2009년에 시작되어 14년간 총 96명의 수상자를 배출했다.
