[남상훈 기자 = 포천시] 지난 20일 백영현 포천시장은 4주 동안 진행되는 겨울방학 지방행정체험 참가 학생들에게 포천시 시정 발전 방향 및 청년정책에 관한 의견을 수렴하고 청년을 위한 다양한 정책들을 공유하기 위해 간담회를 개최했다고 밝혔다.

백 시장은 간담회에 참석해 우수 발표과제를 시상했다. 학생들은 대담을 통해 행정기관에서 근무하면서 느낀 점과 시 정책에 대한 진솔한 의견을 나눴다. 또한 학생 대표 3명이 시민의 입장에서 제안한 정책들을 직접 발표하는 등 청년을 위한 다양한 정책들을 공유했다.

한편, 간담회에 앞서 시범 운영 중인 포천청년비전센터와 포천 미디어센터를 탐방한 1기 체험단 학생들은 오는 27일을 마지막으로 행정체험을 마무리하고 오는 2월 2일부터 지방행정체험 2기를 시작할 예정이다.

백영현 시장은 학생들의 질문에 대한 답변으로 본인의 경험이 섞인 조언을 해주면서, “넘어지더라도 포기하지 않고 묵묵히 자신의 길을 걸어간다면, 본인이 이루는 바를 이룰 수 있을 것이다.’며 학생들을 격려했다.
