[남상훈 기자 = 홍천군] 홍천군에서 운영 중인 친환경농업종합분석센터가 영국 환경식품농림부에서 주관하는 잔류농약 숙련도 평가(FAPAS)에 참가해 분석 능력 테스트에서 우수인증을 받았다고 밝혔다. 

잔류농약 숙련도 평가(FAPAS)란 영국 소재의 환경식품농림부 식품환경연구청(FERA)에서 주관하는 국제 비교 숙련도 테스트로 연구소들 간 숙련도를 비교해 분석 능력이 어느 정도인지를 평가하는 실험이다.

홍천군친환경농업종합분석센터는 분석장비 100여종을 갖추고 잔류농약 분석분야에 참여했다. 

이번 평가는 전 세계 정부기관 및 공인시험기관 등 69개 분석기관이 참여했다. 분석평가는 실험실 간 오차범위를 산정한 비교평가(Z-Score) 값이 ±2.0 이내면 우수 등급으로 판정하며 홍천군은 분석 결과로 제출한 14개 농약성분이 모두 표준점수 ±2.0 이내로 분석 능력의 우수성을 인정받았다.  

한편 군에서는 관내 농가를 대상으로 토양환경, 가축분뇨, 농산물잔류농약 분석업무를 담당하고 있는 친환경농업종합분석센터를 사업비 19억을 투입해 증축할 예정이다. 

신영재 홍천군수는 “소비자에게 홍천군 농산물이 신뢰할 수 있는 안전한 먹거리라는 인식을 심어주고, 농업인들에게는 잔류농약 분석을 통해 안전한 농산물을 생산할 수 있도록 시설과 인력을 확충해 나가겠다”고 전했다.
