[김현우 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 서태원 가평군수는 11일 민선8기 군정 비전인 '자연을 경제로 꽃피우는 도시, 가평' 실현을 위해 군수를 비롯한 40여명의 과장급 이상 모든 간부가 한자리에 모여 각 부서에서 발굴한 정책을 발표하고 평가하는 자리를 가졌다.

앞서 가평군은 서태원 군수 취임 직후인 지난 9월 1일부터 30일까지 모든 부서에 신규 정책사업 공모계획을 통보한 바 있으며, 그 결과 총 43개의 새로운 정책사업이 제안되어, 이중 평가를 통해 상위 6개 부서에는 10월중 최고 30만원의 인센티브가 지급될 계획이다.

서태원 가평군수는 "발표에 앞선 인사말씀에서 천혜의 자연자원은 침체된 가평 지역경제 부흥의 성장동력이 되고, 가평군 주력 산업인 관광산업 발전의 모티브가  된다. 앞으로도 이런 형식의 제안공모 제도는 분야, 주제를 가리지 않고 수시로 운영할 계획이며, 가평군 비전 실현을 위해 참신한 아이디어를 제출한 공직자에게는 인센티브를 반드시 실행하여 일 열심히 하는 공직자가 인정받는 공직사회를 만들어 갈 것"이라고 밝혔다.

한편 신규정책사업 평가는 가평군 제안심사위원 15명이 함께 참석하여 창의성, 경제성, 효율성 등 9개의 평가항목에 따라 현장평가를 실시했으며, 참여한 일반인 신분의 제안심사위원은 “심사위원이기전에  가평군민의 한사람으로서 민선8기 가평군에 새로운 변화의 바람이 부는 것을 체감할 수 있는 좋은 자리였다. 가평군의 발전을 위해 심사위원으로 어깨가 무겁다”고 소감을 말했다.
