[남상훈 기자 = 의정부] 지난 14일 김동근 의정부시장이 일반시민으로 구성되어 시정 소식을 전하는 ‘제11기 행복기자단’ 20명을 선발‧위촉했다고 밝혔다.

행복기자단은 의정부시 공식 블로그 운영을 위해 구성된 시민기자단이다. 시에서 추진하는 각종 주요 사업, 축제, 시행 제도뿐만 아니라, 인기 맛집, 카페 등을 소개하는 등 의정부시의 민간 홍보대사 역할을 톡톡히 수행하고 있다.

현재 이들이 주축으로 운영 중인 의정부시 네이버 블로그는 일 평균 5천여 명이 구독 중이다. 또한 연간 1천여 건의 포스팅이 게시되는 등 활발한 운영으로 시의 대표적인 SNS 채널로 자리매김했다.

결혼과 함께 의정부시로 이사 오게 되었다는 한 시민기자는 “기자단 활동을 통해 우리 시를 보다 잘 이해하고, 나아가 내 주변 사람들에게도 의정부를 널리 알릴 수 있는 기자가 되겠다”고 소감을 전했다.

김동근 의정부시장은 “공무원이 아닌 일반시민의 목소리를 통한 시정 소식은 더 생동감 있고 설득력이 있다”며, “앞으로 추진 예정인 시의 다양한 사업들을 적극적으로 홍보해주길 바란다”고 말했다.
