[김현우 기자 = 가평] 서태원 가평군수는 지난 9일 수상관광사업 발굴 등 선진지 견학차 유럽 방문길에 나섰다.

이번 견학은 오는 15일까지 5박 7일간의 일정이며, 서태원 군수를 비롯해, 가평군 직원들, 김종성 의원과 남이섬·HJ레저개발·청평페리 민간인 관계자들 7명이 동행했다.

유럽 방문은 해외 선진지 벤치마킹을 통해 우리 군에 접목 가능한 수상관광 정책을 발굴하고, 관리운영 Know-how 전수를 통해 사업추진 시 발생가능한 문제점을 파악하고 대응방안을 모색하기 위함이다.

가평군 관계자는 “우리 군 역점사업을 추진하는 북한강 천년뱃길 실무 담당자들의 역량강화를 도모하고, 각 기관별 결속력을 강화하여 향후 우리 군 천년뱃길 및 수상관광사업 중추적 역할 수행하기 위해 견학을 실시하는 것이다”라고 말했다.

한편, 선진지 견학을 위해 투입한 사업비(민관기관 비용별도부담)는 2,568만원이며, 5박 7일동안의 견학 일정은 비엔나(오스트리아), 부다페스트(헝가리), 베네치아(이탈리아)를 방문할 예정이다.
