[김일중 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 지난 1월 21일 의정부시 송산3동지역사회보장협의체는 설명절을 맞이하여 관내 저소득 취약계층 200여 가구에 선물꾸러미를 전달했다고 밝혔다.

설 명절을 앞두고 펼쳐진 이번 나눔 행사는 100일간 사랑 릴레이 배턴 잇기 기간에 기부한 사람들의 정성으로 모아진 후원금을 지원받아 선물꾸러미를 마련했으며, 꾸러미 속에는 떡국떡과 곰탕, 미역국, 라면 등으로 구성됐고, 송산3동지역사회보장협의체 위원들이 제작한 꾸러미를 송산노인종합복지관의 독거노인 생활관리사들과 함께 관내 저소득 가구에 전달했다고 했다.

선물 꾸러미를 받은 김○○씨는 “코로나19로 외부활동을 못해 외롭고 혼자서 설 같지 않은 명절을 보낼 줄 알았는데, 이렇게 선물꾸러미를 전달받아 얼마나 마음에 위로가 되는지 모른다”고 감사의 인사를 밝혔다.

백동철 송산3동지역사회보장협의체 위원장은 “주변의 어려운 이웃들이 삶에 희망을 갖고 생활할 수 있도록, 나눔과 봉사를 통해 이웃사랑을 실천하도록 지속적으로 노력하겠다”고 말했다.

김동수 송산3동장은 “설 명절을 맞아 저소득취약가구들을 위한 선물 꾸러미 나눔 활동으로 훈훈한 이웃의 정을 느낄 수 있었고, 동에서도 주민들이 체감할 수 있는 밀착형 지역복지 향상을 위해 노력하겠다”고 밝혔다.
