<김일웅기자= 동두천양주연천> 최근 정성호 후보의 녹취파일이 공개돼 지역에서 파장이 일고 있다. 16년간 국회의원으로 일하면서 스스로 비리가 많다고 자백한 녹취파일이 공개된 것이다. 국민의힘 안기영 후보는 당시 간담회 이후 식사 자리에서 나눈 1시간 분량 녹음파일을 확보했다고 밝혔다. 

 

이 녹취파일은 지난 2023년 10월 25일 저녁 양주시 한 식당에서 있었던 양주시의회 의원들과 간담회에서 정성호 후보가 한 말로 이 녹음파일에는 “나는 우리가 집권하면(대통령) 비서실장하고 정리해야.......총리를 하면 내가 비리가 좀 많아서...”라고 말했고 또, “물론 내가 하면 저쪽 당에서 반대는 좀 안 하지”라는 말을 한 사실이 있는 것으로 본지 취재 결과 확인됐다. 

 

당시, 참석한 민주당 관계자는 “저도 그 자리에 참석했고, 그날 양주시 행사 일정이 있어서 양주시의회(국민의힘) 윤창철 의장, 정현호 의원, 강혜숙 의원과 (민주당) 정현우 회장, 정성호 국회의원, 한상민 부의장, 이지연 의원 등이 참석한 자리에서 윤창철 의장이 정성호 의원과 친해서 이번에 되시면 좋은 대로 가야 하는 것 아니냐는 질문을 한 것을 정 후보가 겸손한 말을 하기 위해 나온 말이다”라고 밝혔다.
