[김일중 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 작년 10월 21일부터 지난 1월 28일까지 의정부시 호원2동행정복지센터 복지지원과는 약 100일간 진행된 사랑릴레이 배턴 잇기 운동이 기존 목표액보다 약 115% 초과 달성한 가운데 마무리됐다고 밝혔다.

호원2동 주민자치회, 통장협의회, 지역사회보장협의체, 새마을부녀회, 적십자봉사회, 체육회 등의 자생단체는 올해도 솔선수범해 기부에 동참했고, 종교단체 및 친목단체, 개인 등 이웃사랑을 전하기 위해 많은 분들이 100일간 사랑릴레이 배턴 잇기 운동에 동참해 쌀, 라면, 김치, 성금 등 다양한 물품을 전달해 총 56건의 기부실적을 남겼다고 했다.

특히 이번 ‘100일간 사랑릴레이 배턴 잇기 운동’은 어린 학생들의 참여가 특히 눈에 띄었는데, 이준서, 이현승 학생은 소외된 이웃을 위해 사용하고 싶다며 2년간 정성껏 모아온 돼지저금통을 전달했고, 한아름유치원 원생들도 고사리손으로 모은 성금을 기부해 한층 더 의미 깊은 나눔을 전했다고 했다.
