[김일중 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 지난 1월 25일 의정부시 호원2동 복지지원과는 관내 취약계층 30가구에 설 명절을 맞아 명절 음식 세트를 전달하는 ‘설날 마음 The하기’ 사업을 추진했다고 밝혔다.

이번 사업은 100일간 사랑릴레이 배턴 잇기 운동으로 기탁된 후원금을 지원받아 호원2동지역사회보장협의체와 호원2동 마을복지계획 추진단의 주관으로 진행됐으며, 설 명절 심리적·경제적 어려움을 겪는 취약계층 지원을 위해 추진하게 됐다고 했다.

명절 음식 세트는 모듬전, 불고기, 사골 떡국 세트 등으로 풍성하게 구성됐으며, 거동이 불편한 대상자 가정에는 직접 방문해 전달하고, 물품 지원과 함께 동절기 건강생활 수칙을 안내하는 등 찾아가는 건강 상담을 실시했다고 전했다.

호원2동 복지지원과는 단순한 물품 지원을 벗어나 동에 배치된 간호직 공무원이 찾아가는 건강 상담을 실시해 건강 욕구를 가진 대상자의 발굴 및 상담, 보건 서비스 연계에 적극적으로 나서는 등 주민의 다양한 욕구에 대한 통합 창구로서의 동의 역할을 수행하고 있다고 했다.
