[안종욱 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 지난 1월24일 가평군 조종면은 세계평화여성연합 가평지부에서 관내 취약계층에게 전달해 달라며 45만 원 상당의 라면 104박스를 기탁했다고 밝혔다.

세계평화여성연합은 1992년 한국에서 창립된 이래로 여성들의 역량강화와 지속가능한 평화를 이루고자 전세계 120여 국가에 지부를 두고 구호·나눔, 봉사활동 등을 진행하고 있고, 이날 기부된 성품은 경기사회복지공동모금회를 통해 관내 취약계층에 전달 될 예정이라고 했다.

이순영 가평군지부장은 “코로나19와 겨울철 한파로 인해 소외계층이 겪는 생활고와 외로움이 더 클 것이라고 생각하여 미약하나마 도움이 되고싶어 라면을 기탁하게 되었다.”라며  “오늘 전해진 물품들을 통해 이웃들이 풍성한 설명절을 보내길 바란다”고 전했다.

권택순 조종면장은 “코로나19로 모두가 힘든 시기에 어려운 이웃을 위해 나눔을 실천해주셔서 감사를 드리며 이 마음이 관내의 어려운 이웃들에게 잘 전달될 수 있도록 하겠다.”고 답했다.
