[남상훈 기자 = 의정부시] 지난 19일 김동근 의정부시장은 의정부시지역사회보장협의체가 개최한 제9기 활동보고회에 참석해 올해 활동사항을 공유하고 지역사회보장 발전 우수위원에게 표창을 수여했다고 밝혔다.

이날 보고회는 의정부시청 대강당에서 의정부시지역사회보장협의체 위원 100명이 참석한 가운데 진행됐으며 올 한해 활동사항을 공유하고 위원 간 소통의 시간을 통해 향후 발전방향을 모색하는 자리로 마련됐다. 

김 시장은 올해 지역사회보장 발전에 앞장선 우수위원에게 표창을 수여했으며 대표협의체, 실무협의체, 8개 실무분과의 활동 영상 시청 및 보고 순으로 진행된 보고회는 엄숙한 분위기를 벗어나 위원들이 준비한 경품추첨 및 인생네컷 사진을 통한 협의체 홍보활동도 함께했다.

한편, 의정부시지역사회보장협의체는 지역의 사회보장 증진 및 사회보장과 관련된 서비스를 제공하고, 지역복지 문제 등의 현안을 해결하기 위한 민‧관 협력 기구이다.

김동근 의정부시장은 “지역사회중심의 복지서비스 체계를 세우고 사회경제적으로 어려운 이웃의 문제를 해결하는데 협의체 위원님들의 역할이 중요한 만큼 이 시간을 통해 민관 협력을 단단히 하고 서로 소통해 의정부시 지역사회보장 발전에 더욱 힘써달라”고 당부했다.
