[김일중 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 지난 1월 24일 의정부시 장암동은 청소년지도협의회에서 관내 취약계층을 위해 써달라며 이웃돕기 성금 77만 원을 장암동주민센터에 기탁했다고 밝혔다.

장암동청소년지도협의회는 청소년 문화탐방, 청소년 꽃길 가꾸기, 청소년 유해환경 개선 및 지도·점검 등 청소년이 올바른 방향으로 성장할 수 있도록 다양한 활동을 하고 있으며, 코로나19 상황에 따라 대면 행사가 대폭 축소되는 어려움을 겪었으나, 100일간 사랑 릴레이 배턴 잇기에 적극적으로 동참하며 관내 위기가구에 도움이 되길 바란다는 뜻을 전했다고 했다.

박재범 장암동장은 “코로나로 인해 모두가 어려운 상황임에도 불구하고, 어려운 이웃을 위한 나눔에 동참해주신 장암동청소년지도협의회에 감사드린다”고 말했다.

작년 10월 21일부터 오는 1월 28일까지 장암동주민센터는 경기 사회복지공동모금회와 함께 100일간 사랑릴레이 배턴 잇기 운동을 전개하고 있으며, 우리 주변의 어려운 이웃을 돕고자 하는 분은 누구나 참여할 수 있고, 장암동주민센터에 방문하거나 전화해 기부에 동참할 수 있다고 밝혔다.
