[김현우 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 동두천시가 민족 고유의 명절인 추석을 맞아 지역상권 활성화와 서민경제 활력을 위한 동두천시 공직자 전통시장 체험활동(장보기)에 나섰다고 밝혔다.

동두천시에 따르면 지난 6일부터 오는 8일까지 3일간 동두천시 공무원들은 큰시장, 중앙시장, 세아프라자, 제일시장 등 관내 전통시장을 직접 둘러보고 다양한 제수용품 등을 구입하며 자유롭게 전통시장을 체험한다.

박형덕 동두천시장은 “코로나19로 어느 때보다 힘든 시기를 보내고 있는 전통시장 상인들을 힘나게 하고 지역경제 활성화에 기여하도록 공직자가 솔선수범하도록 하겠다”며 공직자들의 적극적인 전통시장 이용을 당부했다.
