[장선희 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 지난 12월 22일 홍천읍 지역사회보장협의체는 어린이들에게 크리스마스의 특별한 추억을 선물하는 프로그램인 ‘기쁘다 산타 오셨네’ 행사를 추진했다고 밝혔다.

기쁘다 산타 오셨네는 저소득 취약계층을 대상으로 산타로 분장해 깜짝 선물을 전달하는 사업으로 지난해에 이어 올해도 진행됐고, 올해는 취약계층 17가구(20명)을 대상으로 진행했으며, 장난감 선물과 케이크를 비롯해 행복나눔가게 후원물품인 삼계탕(하림 홍천대리점), 떡볶이떡(남향방앗간), 떡갈비&소시지(고기팜미트델리), 치킨&감자튀김(뉴욕야시장) 등의 선물 꾸러미를 전달했으며, 선물 전달은 코로나19 확산으로 인해 방역수칙을 철저히 준수하며, 각 가정 현관문 앞에 놓는 등 비대면 방식으로 진행됐다고 했다.

김명숙 민간위원장은 “앞으로도 다양한 활동으로 이웃 사랑을 실천하고 나눔 문화를 확산해 나가겠다”고 말했다.                        

한인용 홍천읍장은 “코로나19로 모두가 힘든 시기에 후원을 베풀어 주신 많은 분들에게 감사드린다”며 “소외된 이웃들이 겨울을 안전하게 보낼 수 있도록 최선을 다하겠다”고 말했다.
